History

NanoScreen was founded in 2003 by seasoned veterans of both the manufacturing and research sides of the High Throughput Screening industry. NanoScreen's focus from the beginning was to bring high quality, high performance liquid handling products to the Life Sciences. Beginning with its P30 and P10 384 pipette lines, NanoScreen rapidly established a wide presence throughout the Drug Discovery community. This was quickly followed by a full lineup of 96 and 384 channel robotic dispense heads and a complete head repair service offering. Then, by leveraging the many years of its employee's experience of building the original Sagian™/Beckman™ Multimek©, NanoScreen introduced an upgrade and refurbishment service for the very popular liquid handling system. The refurbished Multimek©, having more capability and being more robust and reliable than the original, has proven to be a great success and has allowed NanoScreen to significantly broaden its customer base. Then, in early 2006, NanoScreen introduced two new products: The NS-1536 dispense head and the P7 disposable pipette tip. The first, and to this day, the only 1536 disposable tip dispense head available on the market. By offering its 1536 technologies in a configuration compatible with several robotic platforms, NanoScreen's customers have been able to leverage existing equipment to achieve a high level of 1536 pipetting performance.

Having firmly established its expertise in the 'business end' of automated liquid handling, NanoScreen is now pursuing its next phase of development. Very soon, NanoScreen will be introducing the Libra© pipetting station - a low cost, high performance, bench-top liquid handling system. The Libra© will be the first member of NanoScreen's Constellation© line of laboratory automation products: A full range of liquid handling and plate handling products for the performance minded user.
